Making a welcomed return visit
to LRFC, it's been a couple of years or more since French guitarist/singer
songwriter Claude Bourbon performed his acoustic guitar magic for a LRFC
audience that left everybody in the room spell-bound, all except for the
guitar pickers of course... they simply sat there with jaws dropped! Another
triumph for LRFC :-) Yet one more musician with no local name
recognition whatsoever who came and enthralled the audience from the first
note to the last!
His musical palette is
broad but the basic scaffolding is blues from a French perspective - to which
he adds tinctures and suggestions from jazz, classical and Eastern music - in
a potpourri of music that is best described as "Claude
music"; here's a link to
Bolero where you can see and hear "Claude music" in
action.
Here's the word from the
street:
"Acoustic Blues guitar playing doesn't come much
better than this" Blues Matters(UK)
"One of the most accomplished and virtuosic acoustic
players around" Blues in Britain
He may live in England these
days but his soul lives in Europe! Please join us for an evening of
fingerpicking heaven from a French master of the genre. Come early and say
"Bon soir"!
